UNTOLD is built around Cluj Arena and Central Park. Hotels, residential streets, bars and festival entrances collide inside the city. That is convenient, loud and expensive in ways a campsite festival is not.

Central rooms minimise transport but can maximise noise and price. A neighbourhood base on a reliable route can be the more adult decision. Book cancellable accommodation early, then re-check the entrance map and night transport once operational details are published.
Arrive Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to see Cluj before barriers, wristbands and surge pricing change its rhythm. Add the Apuseni, Turda or a longer Romanian route after Monday rather than trying to sightsee between sunrise finishes.
Four nights ending very late change what “daytime in Cluj” realistically means. Do not build an ambitious morning itinerary around the version of yourself that has not yet entered the festival.
