Tauron Nowa Muzyka combines techno, house and experimental work around the Silesian Museum, NOSPR and the former Katowice coal-mine terrain. The festival is urban enough to keep the city accessible and strange enough to justify choosing Katowice deliberately.

Central Katowice and the station side are the practical choices. The Culture Zone remains walkable or a short tram ride away, while the surrounding Silesian conurbation is much larger than the festival map suggests. Do not book far out because a listing says “Katowice” without checking the final night route.
Arrive Thursday for the opening programme and keep Monday if industrial Silesia matters. Nikiszowiec, the Silesian Museum and an ordinary evening around Mariacka work better before or after the concentrated festival days than as rushed gaps between sets.
The Culture Zone has no visitor parking during the event and the official advice points towards public transport, cycling or leaving the car at the hotel. Different programme elements use different buildings and outdoor zones; a two-day pass does not explain every opening concert or side event.
