Poland’s largest metal festival remains in Gdańsk for 2027, but the move from the shipyard to Letnica changes the useful base and the late return.

Mystic spent five editions building a strong identity in the Gdańsk Shipyard. In 2027 it moves to the Polsat Plus Arena grounds in Letnica, where the organiser plans a larger “Metalopolis”. The city still makes the trip, but old transport assumptions no longer do.

Wrzeszcz gives the strongest transport compromise between Letnica, central Gdańsk and the coast. Staying in the old town maximises the visitor city and lengthens the festival commute. Accommodation beside the arena simplifies the night and leaves much less around you once the gates close.
Come Tuesday or Wednesday if Gdańsk itself matters. Use one pre-festival day for the shipyard and Solidarity Centre precisely because the festival has left that setting. Sunday can belong to Sopot or Gdynia rather than another exhausted old-town circuit.
The 2027 venue is new. Entrance positions, temporary stages, tram crowd management and post-show routes need fresh confirmation. Any article that still describes Mystic as a shipyard festival is historical context, not practical advice.
